William Graves Dickens was born about 1825 in Mississippi.
He married Rebecca Jane Brantley. In 1850 they lived in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana with their daughters Elizabeth and Mary[1]. By 1860 they had moved to Red River Township, Lafayette Arkansas with their children Elizabeth, Frances, William, and J. T.[2]
