Rose Ann Dickey was born about 1843 at the family farm at Ballybollen, Drummaul, Co. Antrim, Ireland. She was the daughter of William Dickey.
Rose married John Boyd on 1 Nov 1862 at Ballymena, Co. Antrim.[1] They had at least two children: an unnamed male child (b. 1866), James (b. 1868). They lived at Ballymacilroy, Drummaul, Co. Antrim.
Rose's husband John died in 1870.
Rose married William Dickey from Ballymacilroy (son of James Dickey and probably her cousin) on 18 Jul 1872 at Cullybackey, Craigs, Co. Antrim.[2] They had four children: William Dickey (b. 1873), Eliza Jane Dickey (b. 1875), Samuel Dickey (b. 1879), Rose Ann Dickey (b. 1884 - named Margaret in the birth record).
In the 1901 Ireland census, Rose was age 55? living at Ballymacilroy with her husband William Dickey (61), daughters Lizzie Jane Dickey (25), Rose Ann Dickey (16), son Samuel Dickey (21).[3]
In the 1911 Ireland census, Rose was age 60? living at Ballymacilroy with her husband William Dickey (71), grand daughter Martha Boyd (12). Also David Weir (20) Farm Servant.[4]
Rose died on 3 Jun 1914 age 69 at Drumramer, Co. Antrim.[5] She was buried at Ballyscullion Parish Church, Templemoyle.[6]
