Velma Alegra Dickey was born on October 26, 1911, in Logansport, Indiana. She was the daughter of David Dickey and Sophia Smith. She married Fredrick Eugene Deeter in April 1940. She died on July 20, 2004, in New Port Richey, Florida, at the age of 92, and was buried there.

DEETER, VELMA, 92, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday (July 20, 2004) at LaCasa Grande ALF in New Port Richey.

She came here in 1977 from her native Logansport, Ind.

Survivors include her son, Victor Kuhn, New Port Richey; a daughter, Marlene Carruthers, Pittsburg, Texas: three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
