Research Notes

The LDS site www.familysearch.org strangely lists in one place 10 children for John Hallock & Hannah Dickinson, all born many years before their 1764 marriage!
In another place they have John Hallock married to "Mrs. John Hallock" with 8 children, 2 of whom I know are probably correct as they were sisters - Sarah & Clarinda. Clarinda had a younger sister Sarah/Sally Hallock b. 1768 married to James Crane. Upon her death in 1802, James married Clarinda.
The Hallock Genealogy pg 414 has errors regarding the children of John Hallock and Hannah Dickensen. It states that Sarah and Clarinda were the wives of James Crane. Extensive research by A. Rogers (Rogers-6236) found that these daughters were not of John Hallock 4th, but of Stephen Hallock and Elizabeth Chamberlain. Marriage and other documents of John Hallock and his wife Hannah are held by A. Rogers
