John was born 26 February 1782 in Amherst, Hampshire, Massachusetts. He was the son of John Dickinson and Lydia Eastman.[1] He passed away 3 December 1863 in Amherst, Hampshire, Massachusetts[2] and is buried in West Cemetery, Amherst, Hampshire County.[3]
John married Rebecca Ellis about 1810 possibly in either Barnstable or Hampshire County, Massachusetts. Rebecca passed away in 1846.
The 1850 census indicates that John had remarried. His wife is listed as Olive S Dickinson.[4]
