James Huey Dicks was born in May 1852, when his father, John, was 27 and his mother, Sarah, was 23. The 1880 and 1900 census says that his birth place is Wisconsin.
He married Susan T Hall and they had three children together. In 1880, they were living in Warren. Mississippi. [1] It is not known where the children from his first marriage lived after their mother died.
He then married Mary Etta Radigan on November 21, 1898 in Adams County [2] and they had four children together. In 1900, they are living in Old River with his brother-in-law, Frank. James was working as a fisherman.[3]
In 1910, James was living in Louisiana with his son Hugh. [4] He died after 1910 in New Roads, Louisiana.
