Perry Co. Circuit Court Docket. Friday, Dec. 6, 1839. Aaron Lewis vs. Hugh Dickson....Appeal JP (appeal from verdict of Justice of the Peace) Jury: Wm. F. Halbrook, Jesse Jackson, Edmund Shumaker, James Kelly, Lawrence Lamberson, John Penn, Asa Howell, Nathaniel Dabs, Calvin Lacy, Jeremiah Pace, Nacy M. Randle and T (?) W. Graham.........They find in favour of the Defendant for the sum of thiry dollars and sixty four cents, also cost in this suit.
Family History furnished by Mary Ann Dickson Walker 1/25/2002 "Hugh Dickson was born in 1805. He died in 1878. Roy Dickson wrote: Hugh Dickson and Nancy S. Stanley moved to Tishimingo Co., MS where they were in 1850. They had at least 4 children" In 1860 Census he is a Hotel keeper. He was a grocer in 1870.
