Mary was born about 1839, daughter of John Dickson and Mary Ingram.
John Fergus, Clerk from Portadown, married Mary Jane Dickson, both minors, on 12 February 1855 at the Portadown Presbyterian Church, Seagoe Parish, County Armagh, Ireland. Fathers Samuel Fergus (Shop Keeper) and John Dickson (Farmer). Witnesses George Wilson and Thomas Gibson. [1] [2]
John (Ag Labourer) and Mary Fergus, both aged 20 from County Armagh, emigrated from Ireland on board the vessel Balnaguith that departed from Plymouth, England and arrived in Portland, Australia on 29 October 1855. [3]
Son Hugh Dickson Fergus was born in 1868 at Mount Rouse, Victoria. [4]
She passed away in 1899, aged 60 [5] and was buried at the Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery. [6] [7] [8]
