Biography
Susan was born on the 6 October 1860 at West End, Johnshaven, Kincardineshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Dickson and Mary Beattie. [1]
In 1861 she is living with her family in Fore Street, Johnshaven where her Dad, James is an Agricultural Labourer. [2]
By 1871 they move to the Square, Johnshaven where her father is now listed as a Whitefisher.[3]
When they move to Mid Street, Johnshaven Susan is listed as employed in Domestic duties.[4]
She married Alexander Duncan on the 20 November 1885 at the Templars Hall, Johnshaven. The witnesses were James Duncan and Mary Donaldson.[5]
