LC,NC DB 17:237 17 Jan. 1705- Jacob witnesses a deed. Lincoln Co. N. C. 1800 Census 1 m 10, 1 m 10-16, 1 m 26-45: 2 f -10, 1 f 26-45 The records of St. Michael's & Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Philadelphia show that Jacob Dietz, was born on the 4th of January, 1772 and was baptied on January 11th, 1772. His sponsor's were Jacob Fidler & Anna Miller, Eliza. & Geo. Fidler, Jr. Jacob Dietz was one of four Dietz brothers that came from Philadelphia and settled in Lincoln Co. N.C. The census records and marriage records made it possible to develope the following information on the family of Jacob Dietz. 1810, 1820,1830, 1840 census Lincoln Co. McAllister's Lincoln Co. N.C. Court of Pleas & Qtrs, April, 1789-Apr, 1796 Oct. 1795 Session. Court ordered that Jacob Stamey as orphant boy be bound unto Jacob Dietz until he arrive to the age of twenty one he being now sixteen years and nine months old said Master is to learn said boy the art of a taylor and to give said boy when free one sufficient suit of wearing cloathes, Three pounds in money and cause him to be taught to read and cypher as far as the rule of three. Apr. 1796 Session. Ordered by the Court that Isaac Burns be bound unto Jacob Dietz until he arrive to the age of twenty-one years, being at present time eighteen years and five months old, said Dietz to leave said Burns the art and mystery of a taylor.
