About 1730 Caleb Dill came to America and located on the banks of Otterkill, in the town of Hamptonburgh, Orange County, New York. In 1750 he purchased land from the McIntosh patent. He left four sons, David, John, Robert (who married Hannah MacNeill), and his youngest Caleb (who married Mary Neely).
