Sarah Ann Dillard married A. S. McClure, a survivor of the Lost Wagon Train of 1853. The McClures had 11 children, one of whom, Professor William Edgar McClure of the University of Oregon, determined the height of Mt. Rainier but fell to his death there 17 Jul 1897.^[2]
