Foster Dillman

SOUTH HAVEN - Foster Dillman, 82, of 1360 Willow Lane, Kalamazoo, formerly of South Haven and Big Pine Key, Fla., died Sunday evening in Ridgeview Manor, Kalamazoo. He was born April 12, 1895 in South Haven and before his retirement in 1953 had been employed at the South Haven Post Office 35 years. He was assistant postmaster for 19 years.

Mr. Dillman was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 158 and had served 15 years on the South Haven Hospital board. He had also been a volunteer fireman 25 years.

Surviving are his widow, the former Leah Stout; a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Reeder, Kalamazoo; a son, Ray Dillman, Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren. His first wife, the former Essa Converse, preceded him in death in 1971.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvin Funeral Home, South Haven, where friends may call from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday. Masonic rites memorial services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the South Haven First Congregational Church.
