Francis Dillon was born in about 1909 in Kansas, USA. In 1940 he was self employed and married. He finished high school, and is a farmer. Residence in 1940 was Lyon Twp., Lyon, Cloud, Kansas, USA

Glasco Sun, Oct. 10, 1996, page 1: FRANCIS C. DILLON DIED SEPTEMBER 30 Francis C. Dillon, the son of Charles and Mary Richard Dillon, was born September 12, 1908, at Glasco, Kansas. He died September 30, 1996 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas, at the age of 88 years. Francis grew up on the farm and attended Harmony country school and graduated from Glasco High School with the Class of 1928. He was a lifelong area resident. On November 12, 1935, Francis was united in marriage with Mary Louise Hurley at St. Mary's Church in Glasco. Three sons and one daughter were born to this union. Mary Louise died April 4, 1993. Francis was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Glasco and was a farmer, stockman and carpenter. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Terry and Suzie Dillon of Chicago, Ill.; and Michael and Sherry Dillon of Glasco; a daughter, Jean Reiter of Halstead; two sisters, Marie Fleshman of Delphos and Margaret Porter of Salina; and three grandchildren, Scott Reiter, David Reiter and Lance Cochran. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Dillon who died May 27, 1991. A Rosary was held on Wednesday, October 2, at the Dean Funeral Home. The funeral for Francis was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, October 3, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Albert Dwyer as Celebrant. Organist was Irma Ethridge. Casket bearers were Gene Christiansen, Jerry Goddard, Carl Albert Richard, Brad Giesecke, Lonnie Liby and Carl Windhorst. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Arrangements were by McDonald-Roberts Funeral Service.
