Catherine (Dillon) Perdue lived in Virginia.

Catherine (also spelled Katherine) "Kitty" was born in Virginia in 1821 to parents Arthur Dillon and Jane Susanah (Ross) Dillon. She married Mark Perdue and they had issue.

She passed away in Franklin County, Virginia in 1880 and is buried at the Meshack and Mark Perdue Cemetery, Crossroads, Franklin County, Virginia,. [1]

Notations on Catherine Dillon's parents and her spouse, Mark Perdue: "Arthur Dillon, son of Jesse Dillon and Mary Elizabeth Blankenship, born in 1777, died January 5, 1864, married Jane Ross. They are buried in an isolated burying ground.between the Tyree Dillon farm and the old Mark Perdue place. They had issue: 1- Henry, 2- Asa, 3- Alexander, 4- Nancy, 5- Susanna, and 6- Catherine....

  1. Henry was born June 7, 1809. on December 7, 1864, he married Peggy Brown; and on October 4, 1855, he married Nancy Jane Dillon. The latter was born February 26, 1833, and died August 1, 1902. Henry died December 7, 1864.
  2. Asa, son of Arthur Dillon, was born November 22, 1812. He married Mahala Hutts, December 15, 1836. She was born October 7, 1814, and died November 8, 1896. Asa died April 7, 1884. Both are buried near Cross Roads. It is said that Asa Dillon was a lover of whiskey and fisticuffs, and that he broke his arm in a fight, thus escaping service in the Confederate Army.
  3. Alexander, died from burns, unmarried.
  4. Nancy Dillon, married an Allen, and settled in Ohio.
  5. Susannah (Soocy), married Ammon Oyler. Nothing known of her children.
  6. Katherine, married Mark Perdue. The father of Mark was Meshach Perdue, who married Nellie Dillon, probably a sister of Jesse Dillon, the first. Mark Perdue was quite wealthy.
