Buena Vista Dilmore was born on Feb 13, 1931 in Mendenhall, Simpson, Mississippi, USA as the third child of Clarence Taylor Dilmore and Eva Edna Bishop. ^[1]

She had eight siblings, namely: Billy Donald, Clarence Evon, Hershel Ray, Leah Mae, William Pat, Martha V., Edna Earl, and Robert Stevens.

She died on Feb 16, 2003 in Collins, Covington, Mississippi, USA (at home; Age at Death: 72).

When she was 17, she married Harmon Griffin Smith on Dec 11, 1948 in Laurel, Jones, Mississippi, USA.

Obituary

Buena V. Butler, 72, of Collins, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 236 and Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Eva Bishop Dilmore.

She is survived by her husband, Steven H. Butler; a son, Curtis A. Smith of Brandon; two daughters, Deborah Porter of Mize and Mary Morea of Collins; four brothers, Clarence E. Dilmore of Clinton, Robert Dilmore of Texas, Hershel R. Dilmore and William "Pat" Dilmore, both of Mt. Olive; two sisters, Edna E. Barrett of Utica and Martha Ellison of Alabama.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins is in charge of arrangements.
