George Dilworth was born in Headingley, Manitoba on February 27, 1884. He was the son of William Dilworth and Barbara Sutherland.
George married Helen McHaffie in Swan River, Manitoba on February 10, 1909[1].
At the time of the 1911 Canada Census, George, Hellen, Thomas, and Florence Dilworth were listed as living in in Swan River or Minitonas, Manitoba[2]. At the time of the census, George's occupation was listed as a "Laborer".
In 1916 the Dillworth family were living at Swan River, Manitoba. Head of family George was 32 and working as a plainarman (sawyer) while Helen was employed as a cook, most likely for the boarders that lived with them. In addition to the boarders, George and Helen had four children at home: Thomas (7), Edna (5), Jean (3) and Helen (1).[3]
At the time of the 1921 Canada Census, George, Ellen, Thomas, Edna, Jean, Helen, and Marian Dilworth were listed as living in in Minitonas, Manitoba[4]. At the time of the census, George's occupation was listed as a "Setter" in a lumber mill.
George died in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 14, 1970[5]. On his death certificate, George's occupation was listed as "Sawyer".
