Mary was the daughter of David and Thankful (Hatch) Dimmock/Dimmick
She married Lemuel Nye, son of Meletiah and Ruth (Swift) Nye, on 7 Feb 1774 at Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay - their children were Elizabeth, Ruth, Moses, Meletiah and Fanny Nye - at some point this family moved to Nantucket, Nantucket, Massachusetts where some of the younger children were born
