John married Elizabeth Wheeler on 10 May 1727 in Connecticut Colony
He was made Lieut. of the 2nd Military Co. in Fairfield in 1741 and Capt. in 1745.
His will was dated 25 Feb 1761 and proved 28 Jun 1764, naming wife Elizabeth, daughters: Hester, wife of Joseph Frost Jr., Grace, wife of Moses Dimon, Jr., Elizabeth, and Abigail, grandchildren: Moses & Peter Hull, four sons: John, Thomas, Pinkney & Daniel Dimon.[1]
His inventory was taken on 1 November 1764 and recorded in Fairfield on 24 January 1767.[2]
The real estate distribution was completed on 12 July 1768 and recorded on 4 April 1775 in Fairfield and set out to the widow Elizabeth, John Dimon, Thomas Dimon, Pickney Dimon, and Daniel Dimon.[3]
John is buried at Old Burying Ground, Fairfield, Fairfield, Connecticut, USA
