DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

Something wrong here. The birth dates of the children associated with different mothers (Cynthia and Elizabeth) overlap. Sylvester was born 5 years before his mother Cynthia married. Her other children were born 1835-1850. Elizabeth's children were born between 1830-1847. Unless this guy was a bigamist, something's wrong here.
Are you sure that this person was married to a person who had same name as his mother?
