Biography

Martha V. “Mattie” Disbrow was born about 1848. One has to wonder if she might have been the daughter of Truman and Eliza (Missenger) Disbrow who were in Lorain County, Ohio in 1850. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

She first married a Mr. Smith and they had a daughter Kittie Louise Smith, born in 1867.

Martha married Charles F. Voss on July 8, 1868 in Ohio. ^[5]

She then married Nelson Olmsted on January 14, 1872 in Huron County, Ohio, bringing her young daughter to the marriage. ^[6]

Nelson, Mattie, and their daughter were in Sandusky in 1880, where he was working at a Planing Mill. That is the last record of Mattie that could be found. ^[7]

Her daughter Kittie married Elmer Jump in 1884 and they settled in Elyria, Lorain County, Ohio, where Nelson Olmsted died in 1931 and Kittie in 1932.
