Lily was born 18 Mar 1879 to James Charles and Fanny Dix nee Cozens at 10 Boyson Road, Newington, Surrey. She was baptised 11 May 1879 in St. Stephen, Walworth, Surrey.[1]
In 1881 Census she is seen living with her parents, siblings, maternal grandfather and aunt at 10 Boyson Road.[2]
On 23 Aug 1886 she and her sister, Minnie were admitted to Coll's Road school by their father, address was 23 Evelina Road.[3]
In 1891 she lived with her parents at 20 Nunhead Grove, Peckham, Camberwell.[4]
She married Alexander John Webb 8 May 1898 in St. Catherine, Hatcham, England.[5]
They lived with his parents at 14 Dennett's Grove.[6]
They had six children, three of whom died in infancy before deciding to emigrate to Canada. They left 6 Jun 1907 from Liverpool on the Kensington and arrived in Quebec, then travelled across Canada by rail.[7]
They lived for a time in Strathcona.
By the 1916 Canada Census of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, they were living in Camrose and still there in 1921.[8][9]
They had five more children one of whom died as a child. The family moved to Coronation between 1921 and 1924.
In 1926 Lily and her husband travelled back to England for a visit.[10]
In 1948 they celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary in Alberta. She spent some time in Vancouver with her retired husband and died there 3 Oct 1952.[11] She is buried there in Oceanview Cemetery.[12]
