Edward Dixon was born in 1874 [1] in Stanley, Yorkshire, England, the son of Henry Dixon and Emma Walker. [2]
In 1881 Edward was with his parents in Stanley. [2]
When Edward was about 23 he married Rachael Goodhead on 13 October 1898 in St Peter's church, Stanley. [3] The couple had at least 6 children.
In the 1911 census Edward was living in Hemsworth.[4]
