Alice Caroline Dixon was born about June 1879 in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England, the daughter of George and Sarah Ann Moore. ^[1] Alice Caroline Dixon was a gypsy traveler as were both of her parents.

Alice married Sydney Sidebottom on November 16, 1896 in Hunslet, Yorkshire, England.^[2] They had the following children:

Alice later had at least the following children with Alfred Jolly:
