After William Dixon's death, his widow married John Houghton. Reliable sources are needed for the dates of William's death and Anna's marriage to John. Authoritative sources for Dinah's birth and death dates are also needed. However, we know that Dinah was William Dixon's son with Anna, because of John Houghton's will:
John Houghton, of New Castle county, made his will (No. 1233) 1 mo. 10, 1720, and it was probated May 27, 1720. He mentions his wife Ann, his brother-in-law, John Gregg, his daughters Mary, Martha, and Rebecca Houghton, and children Dinah, Ann, George, Henry, Thomas and John Dixon.
No one has written her biography. Following is from one of the contributing profiles.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Dinah by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Dinah:
not proof, but circumstantial evidence that this Dinah married William Hicklin:
from Newark Monthly Meeting records: Danial BYRNES, borough of Wilmington, NCC son of Daniel and Rebecca of Whitpane, Philadelphia Co., and Dinah HICKLIN, daughter of William and Dinah of Brandywine Hd., NCC. 10-2-1751 at Hockessin.
Dinah Dixson, SISTER of William Dixon who married Ann Gregg, married Michael Harlen in 1790 (see the pdf of Era Magazine article on brother William's profile). Does Hinshaw's show who William Hocklin married?
