NOTE: Hattie Middleton Dixon was born November 1875 to John Dixon and Jane (Johnstone) Marchbank-Dixon at DeSable, L0t 29, PEI. Hattie immigrated to Massachusetts about 1896 and married Francis P. Norton Jr. on January 24,1900 Edgartown, Massachusetts. They had four children. Adella Johnstone Norton, Kenneth E. North, John D. Norton, and Estena M. Norton. Hattie died July 19, 1948 at Edgartown. Frank L. Norton Jr. died April 05, 1950.

Hattie was baptised 3 Mar 1877 in St. John's Anglican Church, Crapaud. ^[1]

She lived on the family farm in Lot 29, Prince Edward Island. ^[2] Her mother died in 1881 and her father married again, to another Jane. By 1891, Hattie had 5 more half siblings. ^[3]

On 24 January 1900 she married Frank Norton in Edgartown, Massachusetts. ^[4] They lived on School Street in Edgartown and had 4 children. ^{[5] [6] [7]}

Hattie died 19 Jul 1948 in Edgartown, Dukes, Massachusetts. ^[8]
