Note N3An Indigenous Australian. After her first husband left her Patricia had 4 children by Malay born Abu Kassim bin Marah a pearl diver for the pearling company Streeter and Male. Only two of the children survived, Fay and Georgina. Abu willingly paid maintenance for Patricia and did everything possible to help her when he was not at sea, and continued to do so during the war fighting against the Japanese.
