Of Harry Leffel and Maud Dove, a Well Known Young Couple
Of Adams Township -- The Girl is But 12 Years of Age.
"Harry Leffel, son of Samuel Leffel, of Adams township and Maud Dove, the 12-year-old daughter of George Dove, of the same neighborhood eloped last evening.
"Robert Cline followed the couple to this city, then lost track of them.
"Leffel had his own conveyance, a horse and buggy, and there is no doubt but what the couple were bound for some point remote from Logansport, when they hope to obtain a marriage license and have the ceremony performed.
"Miss Dove's parents formerly resided at Dunkirk, west of the city."[1]
