Hannah Doane was born about 1669 and died June 6, 1765[1]. She married John Collins, a son of Joseph Collins, on February 12, 1701/02.[2][3]
He was born at Eastham, Dec. 18, 1674 and died on May 24, 1765 (gravestone old cemetery, Chatham). They settled, first, in Wellfleet where he had land laid out to him in 1698, thence removed to Chatham where he was a prominent citizen.[4][5]

Hannah Doane's headstone reads "Here Lies the Body of Mrs Hannah Colings Wife of John Colings Who Died June 6th 1765 in the 86th year of her age". According to Alfred Alder Doane, she was born on May 12, 1669 [Doane, Alfred Alder, The Doane Family and Their Descendants (Boston, 1902), pp. 25], however, simple math will tell you that that would have meant that she died in the 96th year of her age. As I have found no record of her birth I am going to use the only record I have, which is her headstone, to estimate her year of birth as abt. 1679.
This would seem to make more sense as her husband John Collins(Colings) was born on December 18, 1674 and it was rare, although not unheard of, back then for a man to marry a woman who was older than him. Also, this would seem to change the estimated death of her mother, Hannah Bangs, from abt. 1677 to abt. 1679.
