Sarah was born in Rowan County, NC, and died in Warrick County, IN.
Two known children by Sarah include Alexander and James Wyatt. Per census records there may have been another son and a daughter.
In 1809 Sarah moved with her husband from North Carolina to Smith County, Tennessee. Tennessee land records show David received 124 acres of land. The request was initiated on 22 April 1809 and filed/approved on 16 September 1809.
In a history of Warrick County, Indiana, there is an article on James Lowrance, son of David and Sarah. It states David and Sarah moved to Warrick County in 1815 and David died in 1816. It further states on 17 September 1818 Sarah married a Henry Haynie. The Tennessee marriage record has her name as Sally Lawrence.
The 1820 census for Warrick County has a household headed by Henry Haney. The household includes two males under 10, two males 10-15, one male 26-44, one female under 10 and one female 26-44. One descendant has stated Henry and Sarah had three sons - Henry Jones Porter Haynie, Jefferson Haynie and William Haynie. The two males under 10 could have been James (born 1815) and a son by Henry. One of the males 10-15 could have been Alexander. This leaves one of the males in the 10-15 and the female under 10 unaccounted for.
