Biography
Jane left their home in Locust Grove, Searcy, Arkansas, for Kentucky after the Civil War to help care for her mother. While there, she died of pneumonia. It was a month before Wesley got word that she had died. She was born to William and Elizabeth Johnson Dobbs on December 11, 1805 in Wayne County, Kentucky. In 1820 she married John Wesley Branscumb.
