She is the daughter of Charles Dobson and Elizabeth Chubb.

1895, her mother dies.

1896, her father dies.

She and her sister Nellie are taken in by their grandparents Alonzo and Elizabeth Chubb. Brother Charles goes to Uncle Alonzo, Jr. in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.

Her sister Nellie Dobson was a witness to her marriage as was a man named George Aubrey.

2nd wife of Benjamin Addison. Step-mother of Hughena Catherine Addison Gauss and Willard Gauss. [1]

Bridal Shower

Mrs. Clayton Riley and Mrs. Charles Averill entertained at a miscellaneous shower for Mrs. Lotta Aubrey, last evening at the Riley home, 118 North Division. Mrs. Aubrey will become the bride of Benjamin Addison Saturday . Cards were played and a floral bridal contest held. Prize winners were Mrs. Aubrey, Mrs. Charles Caldwell and Mrs. Riley. Refreshments were served at the close of the evening. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. George Sinclair, Mrs. Charles Caldwell and Mrs Leo Snyder of Climax. [2]

Obituary

Mrs. Benjamin Addison
CLIMAX -- Graveside services for Mrs. Lotta Dobson Addison, 91, of Jackson, formerly of Climax will be held here at the Prairie Home Cemetery at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
She died Friday in a fraternal order home in Jackson. She was the widow of Benjamin Addison.
Mrs. Addison was born in Manistee and had lived in Jackson since 1962.
Mrs. Addison was a member of the Maple Leaf Chapter 291, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Battle Creek.
She is survived by a brother, Charles Roe Dobson of Long Beach, Calif.
Schmitt's Funeral Home, Climax, is in charge of the arrangements. [4]
