Harry Foster Dobson was born on October 15, 1919 in Little River, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada, son of Robert William Dobson (1890–1942) and Margaret Mae Ettinger (1892–1961).

Harry died on April 27, 1973 in Oxford, Cumberland, aged 53. He was buried in Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.[1]
