Mary Amy was born 8 June 1854 in Berkshire, England to John Dobson Jr (1834-1885) & Eliza Amy (Appleby) Dobson (abt.1831-1862)
She emigrated to Melbourne, Australia with her family aboard the ship 'Bee', and arrived on 18 April 1857 at Geelong, aged about 2.
Mary married Thomas Fielder Jr (1837-1907) on 11 September 1872 at the Registrars Office in Geelong when she was about 21.
She and Thomas had 8 children, (3 passed away in infancy); Thomas William (1874-1939), Mary Amy (1876-1876), Edward Goldsmith (1877-1951), Amy Ann Goldsmith (1878-1879), Harry Goldsmith (1880-1880), William John Goldsmith (1881-1964), Amy Mary Annie Goldsmith (1882-1883) & Herbert Joseph Goldsmith Fielder .
Mary Amy passed away on 25 August 1910 aged 57 at the Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She is buried at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Coburg, Victoria, Australia along with her husband Thomas and two of their grandchildren.
