Samuel Hildreth Dobson was born on October 3, 1873 in Westbury, Colony of Tasmania, son of Henry Dobson (1841–1920) and Sarah Ann Walker (1852–1926).[1]
Samuel (22) married Emma Amelia Cope (21) (born on May 13, 1874 in Deloraine, Tasmania, Australia) on November 18, 1895 in Ulverstone, Tasmania. Their daughter was Doris Alice Mabel Dobson (1902–1976).
Samuel died on August 9, 1950, aged 76. He was buried in Penguin General Cemetery, Penguin, Central Coast Council, Tasmania.[1]
