Biography

Leonard Dockter was born Oct. 23, 1928.

He passed away March 26, 1965 and was buried at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, Meade, South Dakota, United States.[1]

Obituary

Leonard J. Docktor Service Set Tuesday

Leonard J. (Doc) Docktor died unexpectedly early Friday following a heart attack. He was 36.

Funeral services have been scheduled Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Burnell Lund will officiate. Burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled in Campbell Funeral Home until the services.

Docktor was born in Rapid City, Oct. 23, 1928. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Air Corps. He married the former Rosemarie Schmidt in Aberdeen, Jan. 25, 1949. Since 1949 they had lived in Rapid City.

He was an employ of Crostown Motors.

Docktor was a member of Trinity Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Colleen Marie; two brothers, William Docktor, Spokane, Wash., and Thomas Docktor, Biloxi, Miss., and five sisters, Mrs. Inez Marshall and Mrs. Martha Hoeck, both of Seattle, Wesh.; Mrs. Irene Morgan, San Marcos, Tex.; Mrs. Grace Geist of Edgemont, and Mrs. Darlene Bollinger of Bowdle.[2]
