Biography

Jesse Dodd was enumerated at Union, Union County, South Carolina for the August 7, United States Census, 1850. He was noted as born 1813 in South Carolina. He was a planter and had $400 of value in real estate as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Jane Dodd, male Richard H Dodd, female Mary C Dodd, male Boardwine Dodd, female Elizabeth Dodd and male Robert Goodwine.[1]

Jessie Dodd was listed as the father of Mrs. Morrell who died August 20, 1928 in Brooks County, Georgia. The mother was listed as Jane Waters and the husband W W Morrell.[2]

Jessie Dodd was listed as the father of Bonia [Donia] Vick who died June 3, 1930 in Orlando, Orange County, Florida. The mother was listed as Jane ... Waters and the husband John Henry Vick.[3]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[4] Jessee Dodd, Sr. is buried at Concord Cemetery in Quitman, Brooks County, Georgia.[5]
