The assumed mother of John Dodd I is Mary MNU. She as a widow of Richard Dodd (relict) marries Thomas Dynes. Dynes is not her maiden name.

Richmond Co, VA deeds name the wife of John Dodd I as Jane in 1696. However Jane Burford is the wife of his brother Richard II. By 1721, Jane MNU has died and deeds indicate the then wife of John Dodd I is Ann MNU.
