Biography
David and Elizabeth Dodd were her parents, as can be discerned from her father's will of 7 Aug 1813, in which she is named as Elizabeth Spell.[1]
The earliest census record that we find of Elizabeth and her husband David Spell in in 1850, which does estimate her birth year as 1790.[2] She and her husband were both alive at the 1860 census,[3] but by 1870, she was living with Hardy Spell.[4]
Elizabeth "Lily" and her husband David Spell are named in the 28 Apr 1881 marriage record of their son, Owen Spell.[5]
