Biography

Stephen was born in 1856 in Worth Sussex. He is the son of Henry Dodd and Lucy (maiden name yet to be researched). Stephen worked as a wheelright - a craftsman who builds or repairs wooden wheels. In 1880, Stephen married Alice Ansell, although the 1911 census confirms that the couple would not have children. Stephen was widowed in January 1933. He passed away in 1938 in Dorking Surrey, leaving his estate to his sister, Alice Edser and her husband William.
