Biography

Harriet(t) Dodd was born in about 1824 at Leafield in Oxfordshire. She was baptised at Leafield chapel on 27 June 1824, as the daughter of John and Phoebe Dodd, of Leafield. Her father was a labourer. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

Harriet Dodd, spinster, was the mother of Jane Dodd or Hadland, born and baptised at Leafield in 1841. ^[4]

Henry Hadland, of full age, a labourer, of Leafield, son of William Hadland, labourer; and Harriet Dodd, a minor, a gloveress, of Leafield, daughter of John Dodd, labourer; were married at the parish church of Shipton under Wychwood on 29 October 1843. The witnesses were called George Hadland and Rosetta Shayler. ^[2]
