Martha Alice Dodds was born on 20 May 1880 in Minnesota, USA, daughter of Dr. Robert Moffat Dodds and Sophia Isabella (Simpson) Dodds.^[1]

Alice died on 3 September 1938 in East Stanwood, Snohomish County, Washington aged 58 in a car accident with her husband and niece, Amy Elizabeth Schoelkopf while driving up north to Bellingham to visit another family relation. Her husband died in the car crash as well, but her niece survived with severe leg wounds.^[10][11]
