Biography
1788 Solomon Dodge, Jr. was born on 17 Jan1788 in Peterboro, Hillsboro, New Hampshire, USA. He was the first child of Solomon Dodge and Mary Nancy Taggart. The birth certificate, though, claims he was born in Montpelier, Vermont and that he was the"First Male born in Town."[1] Apparently, his father had already moved to Montpelier, leaving his wife behind in New Hampshire until she gave birth.
1808 Solomon Dodge, Jr. married Rebecca Hammond on 13 Nov 1808 in Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont, USA.[2]
1814 A daughter Hannah was born to Solomon and Rebecca in 1814. She died on 3 June 1883.[3]
1824 Solomon passed away on 7 Mar 1824 in East Montpelier, Washington, Vermont at the age of 36.[4] He was buried at Tinkham Cemetery, East Montpelier, Vermont. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[5]
