THURSDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 15, 1877

Montineau township, this county, is the home of some of the oldest citizens in

the county, nine of whom live in the same neighborhood and are now over 80

years of age, and have lived there for a half century and more. The names of

these "old settlers" are Federal WALKER, Gerrard ROBINSON, Judge W. M.

JACKSON, Archie HILL, David PEELER, Joseph DODSON, Wm. DODSON, David ISAACS

and David WILCOXSON. These venerable gentlemen are all about 80 years of age

and have lived neighbors for more than fifty years. We will venture the

assertion that there is not another neighborhood in the state that can claim

as citizens nine such old and highly esteemed men as those named.
