Lydia is named as "Liddie" in the Will of her father, dated 2nd of October 1776 " . . . to daughters Liddie, Sarah and Deborah Dodson all the moveable estate equally . . ."[2]
Lydia married George Spratlin on 3 April 1787 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.[3][4][5] His name was signed George Spratlen and recorded George Pratley. They were married by her uncle Reverend Lazarus Dodson.
Lydia, age 83, appears in the 1850 Federal Census in Buchanan County, Missouri, in the household of her son-in-law Richard Pell.[6]
