Michael Samuel Doege was born in 1801 in Germany, the son of Anne and Michael. He married Anna Marie Krenz on May 24, 1827, in Posen, Thuringia, Germany. They had ten children in 18 years. He died on August 29, 1852, in his hometown at the age of 50, and was buried in Posen, Thuringia, Germany^[1].
