My name is Elyse Doerflinger and I am a genealogist. I got bitten by the genealogy bug at the age of 13 and I've been tracing my ancestors ever since.
Outside of genealogy, I am an elementary school teacher. I am also married and have a baby boy.
My life is crazy busy so if you message me and I don't immediately respond, don't get discouraged. You may just have to message me again because your first message could have gotten buried in my emails.
I blog about my genealogy adventures at Elyse's Genealogy Blog.
Have you taken a DNA test for genealogy? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

We are distant cousins, 20th cousins 3x removed. Our common ancestor is Maud (De Campania) Campania your 22nd Great Grandmother and my 19th Great Grandmother! We have a total of 129 ancestors in 30 generations in common including Plantagenets and other Euro Aristocrat ancestors. Happy Wikitreeing!

I noticed you are following the TAG categories.
WikiTree's Categorization Project uses the TAG categorization so you're missing 99% of our G2G discussions. Would you please change the TAG you're following to categorization?

I see one of the tags you're following is Categories.
Did you want to join the Categorization Project?

Since you are a member of the 1776 project I was wondering if you would be interested in participating in the US Southern Colonies project that is just now getting started? We are setting up sub projects of it, and each of those will need a leader which as a member you can volunteer to do. And you probably know the ropes as a Leader Emeritus which would really be helpful. If there is an area where you have interest or knowledge we sure could use the help! Please see the project page at: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:US_Southern_Colonies#Scottish or if you would just like to participate in shaping this new project, you can join the google forum at: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/wikitree-us-southern-colonies
Thanks for your consideration!

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project. Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as
