Leonard was born on the 22nd of May 1900 in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia to Francis Doherty and Helen Chippendale.[1]
He married Fredaricka Johanna Willert on the 19th of February 1927 in Queensland.[2]
On the 22nd of Jun 1942, he enlisted in the Australian Army and served in the Second World War. He was part of Lines of Communication Signals, though his rank is not listed.[3][4]
He was discharged on 17th of January 1945 due to misconduct.[3]
He passed away on the 15th of January 1971 in Brisbane, Queensland.[5]
