Biography

Marie Rose Doiron was born on May 31 1824 and baptized on July 24 of that year in Cap-Pele, New Brunswick, Canada. [1] She was the daughter of Laurent Doiron and Anne Bourgeois. Marie-Rose married Damien Goguen in Barachois on 19 Feb 1849.[2][3] She had one daughter with Damien Goguen in 1849. Marie Rose married for a second time to François Bourgeois, widower of Rose Hébert,[4] sometime between 1871 and 1881. She died on November 16, 1916, in Cocagne, New Brunswick, Canada at the impressive age of 92. [5]

  • In the 1881 census Marie Rose, age 54, was in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[6] She was listed with her husband François, step-children Laurence and Atanase, her daughter Obéline, and Philias (her grandchild?).

Doiron-719 and Doiron-120 appear to represent the same person because: Doiron-719 was attached as a spouse to Damien Goguen-345. However, that Damien Goguen was married to Judith Richard. Doiron-719 is basically unsourced. Even though the estimated birth year is quite different, I think she is probably a duplicate of Doiron-120, who was married to a different Damien Goguen.
