Pierre "dit Pitre" was born (according to P. Gaudet) in March 1734. He married Marguerite LÉGER (Jean & Marie Marguerite Comeau) about 1758. He passed away in Tédiche on 7 July 1825.[1] The funeral was held on 24 August of that year in Tediche. [2]
After surviving the deportation and its aftermath, they settled at Nappan. He left Nappan with his family in about 1790. They settled in Richard Village where he received a grant of 400 acres of land on Dec 6, 1793. At that time he was using the name “Pierre Goulle”. He sold the land to his son Gros Jean on Mar 3, 1800. They lived at Saint Anselme for a few years before moving to Tediche where they were known to be on Aug 29, 1816. Pierre and his son and grandson Laurent received a grant at Barachois and so began the Doiron years at Barachois.
